Great Klara, very good idea! :D
You've spoken about a new movie by Johnny Depp. Right? Did you know that this movie's Hungarian title is the Pán Péter (Peter Pan)?
BTW, our Fil made mention of him in his only one song. I wonder who knows which is that song? :D :P

Emi
02-06-05, 22:25
It is called Peter Pan in Hungary (and many other countries)probably bcoz the film is abt the creator of PP

Well Klara, we give ya the honour to be the first giving your reviews of this movie :D 8) 8)

mandy
03-06-05, 15:47
No Emi. Your answer ain't correct.

Emi
03-06-05, 16:59
No?!!!!  Can ya believe this?!!!

mandy
03-06-05, 19:26
I know the Peter Pan is an English fairy tale. At least we so learnt in the elementary school. :?

Klara
04-06-05, 00:10
Well, Emi's actually wright. The film is about creator of this DRAMA Peter Pan (I understand it in that way at least). Isn't it Emi? But I also thought it's a fairy tale... :o
The title is Finding Neverland...we translated it "San za životom" - The dream for a life (I don't know how to translate it in the best way)
I liked it very, very much...especially because of J.Depp...I think he's one of the most exscellent young(er) actor today. He can really play everything. I wached many his movies. And the story herself is really good. :)

Emi
04-06-05, 00:11
Dee, ya got me wrong  The movie is not abt PP; its abt the man (creator) who wrote PP the fairytale. It may be an english fairytale but its known worldwide as PP. So in soem countries it may be called ;finding neverland aka pp

Klara
04-06-05, 00:12
...obviously we wrote a comment in the same time Emi, hehe

Emi
04-06-05, 00:13
exactly klara!!!! Thats what i was saying
i enjoyed this movie too, the cinematography was handled amazingly. And ya can watch depp with a scottish accent hiihi  Plaus i agree with ya abt depp......

Emi
04-06-05, 00:14

Klara
04-06-05, 00:17
   we're just so unpredictable, hihi. Well, I can see that you also like Depp...that's cool
O, and I liked the children actors to...they are really good.
P.S. I recommend this movie to everyone!

Emi
04-06-05, 00:26
ahha

One of the children plays also in Charlie and the chocolate fabric with depp again. Lucky kid!

Klara
04-06-05, 00:27

Emi
04-06-05, 00:33
i didn't know this too till i watched Oprah

Klara
04-06-05, 00:35
haha...Oprah - now that's a woman! :D :D

Emi
04-06-05, 00:40
i can only watch her when i have time  But she is a very succesfull and a smart woman...

Klara
04-06-05, 00:42
yeah, I wached her when I have a time too...sometimes she has interesting themes...but I really, really don't like Dr. Phil... haha

Emi
04-06-05, 00:47
neither do i   overrated doctor!

Klara
04-06-05, 00:49
And when he speaks...it's so dull...but, no one is perfect!

Emi
04-06-05, 00:54
  and he reacts as he really knows how that person thinks and seeing him talking all i can think is whether he really hears/believes whats comin outta his mouth?!!!!

Klara
04-06-05, 00:57
but Emi...he is a really smart and experienced man! haha
Yeah, how could he now this stuff...but enough about Dr. Phil...let's talk about me!

Emi
04-06-05, 01:05
i know he is experienced but its just doesn't feel real
is there anything to talk abt ya?!!!  :P

Klara
04-06-05, 01:07
:D :D yeah, I gues I should stop with my "outstanding" comments...
we should better wait for another movie to talk about

Emi
04-06-05, 01:18

Paulinka
04-06-05, 23:43
:D Yeah, I like it too!

Emi
05-06-05, 11:16
me too 8)

Anyways i saw Yu-On; the grudge after my work, don't ask what time it was  I had seen the english version already but i must say that i liked the japanese version more!!! 8) why?! Bcoz while watching the english version i felt like there was smth missing in some scenes  .....like; the bad woman killing someone if she was in a hurry or smth! The japanese have filmed the scenes in details wich keeps the tension during the whole movie.....tahts what a scary movie is (hihihii....not THE Scary Movie  ) I know the english version is a remake of Yu-On, so the same story-line,and stuff, but whats with the same bad guy, woman & child!!!! They r the same pple as in Yu-On!!!!! So whats the use of this remake.....couldn't they just subtitled it?!!! I didn't think this movie was scary (as well as english and Japanese) although the bad woman with the long black hair reminds ya of that girl from THE RING....hihihi

My rating would be; english version 5/10 and the japanese 8/10, so if ya want to watch this movie go watch the japanese one WITH subtitles

Well, i can't wait to watch Yu-On 2

Paulinka
05-06-05, 12:20
Hihi, thanx for the hint; now I'm sure I don't want to see the Japanese version WITHOUT subtitles

Emi
05-06-05, 12:37
8)

Klara
05-06-05, 19:38
I don't know for this movie...but you have a point emi...what is this with synchronization?!! americans usually do not do that with other movies, just with japanese...and it looks totaly funny :P I personally don't like this...it can change the whole "picture" I wonder how is it to mandy..because I can see some hungarian chanells and they use it really, really much. Does it bother you?

Emi
05-06-05, 22:46
oooow thats smth i TOTALLY hate!!!!!!! It looks and sounds sooo stupid. Turkish channels do this too, thats why i NEVER watch a film ( i hate turkish cinema as well) And they never think whether a synchronised voice will suit the person or not; example, ya know how deep voice vin diesel has; so i was zapping through turkish channels ( i don't know what got me to watch a turkish channel  ) seeing vin diesel talk with BRIGHT voice got me disgusted. It seemed they gave him the voice of someone small   i was like; oooooh plz give me a break!!!!!

Klara
06-06-05, 12:39
hahaha, diesel with a sissy voice...can imagine :D
Looks Emi like we are the only one who are trying something with this topic  maybe we should guess someone's favourite film/actor and then...
Btw, what do you think about Robin (not Robbie, haha) Williams?!!?

Emi
06-06-05, 18:44

Robin williams?! Not my fave, but i won't mind watching his movies! He is definitely one of the best actors i know. I like him especially in comedy, coz he ain't overacting in this like jim carrey does....yuch can't stand this man

Paulinka
06-06-05, 19:21
Robin Williams is cool 8)
When I think abt him, I can't help reminding his crazy dance with the vacuum cleaner in "Mrs. Doubtfire"

Emi
06-06-05, 22:40
oooow i remember that scene!!!    I think mrs doubtfire was a hillarious movie, at a moment i felt soooo sorry for him; changing into mrs doubtfire was a tough job!!!

Klara
06-06-05, 22:47
Yeah girls..I just wanted to mention "Mrs Doubtfire"...hahaha, this movie is so funny! :D especially when he is transforming into her...haha and when he calls her wife and says "I am job!"
But of course there are also other movies...do you like Patch Adams?!!

Emi
06-06-05, 22:48
:? :? patch adams?! Im afraid i've never heard of him....

Klara
06-06-05, 22:54
really...you should really see this movie...very good to...so emi, I wonder, except depp, which actor(s) do you like?
P.S. Tomorrow there is Don Juan de Marco on TV...so not watching this, hehe

Emi
06-06-05, 23:50
okay then wy don't ya tell me whats this movie is abt and who starrs in this?! :D
ehhmm not that much just 3 more. Depp, Reeves, Pacino & de Niro r my old & all time faves. I got stick to them when i was a child and still am  Guess im very loyal ha...hihi Depp in 89 with Jumpstreet (great action!!!)/ had seen Reeves also in 89 with bill & ted (a classic movie i still luv it) but liked him in 91 after Bill & Ted 2 and point break (SURFING!!!) and Pacino & de Niro in 93 after watching Godfather with my bro ( i was too young watch thsi movie but who cares, i luved it!!) These r my absolute top 4 actors for their versatilty, choosy, they can carry every role and ESPECIALLY not being in the media everytime (hell i luv this)!! I think thats why they r called the extravagants 8)
Ya know i even went to shark tale for the sake of De Niro and Angie normally i won't even go to a cartoon!! Hihihi

As for others, mmmm i liked russel crow in the gladiator coz he did a fabelous job in this but other than that i don't liek watching his movies. I can't stand Di Caprio, but he was spectacular in Gangs of NY and The Aviator which i still think he should have won an oscar for it  The Titanic was an overrated movie  I HATE pitt! I like Clooney......ya know I can go on like this-----> it depends whether the movie is WATCHABLE for me or not

And for the girls, same story! I used to like julia roberts but nowadays NO PLZ, I used to hate Nicole Kidman she was amazing in moulin rouge. But my topwoman is/has been Angie when i saw her in True Woman (it was TV-film) on tv in 94/95

Grrrrr....another long post! enjoy reading it!!! Hihii

Buffy_The_Slayer
07-06-05, 11:19
emi, thanks. I enjoyed reasing it!!!
well, as youI love: reeves, depp, al pacino & robert deniro (thanks, now i don't have to write more about them...just see emi's post... )
I also really like: sean connery (not in the bond films- although I think they were cool- but in "The Rock" or "The Hunt for Red October"... I luv him playing a russian guy.... fits him!
I like Harrison Ford.... like in "what lies beneath"...great performance together with michelle Pfeiffer, I liked him in "K-19, The WIdowmaker" (okay, okay, I admit it...I like submarine films from the cold war.... ) but I think it was a real great movie.... Not to forget the mythical "indiana Jones"-seires .... (I didn't like it so much...but he looked really good then!
And another actor I really luv, is Liam Neeson. Don't know, but this man has charisma!! he ain't goodlooking, but wow! what an impression! I think he is really an outstanding actor! (yeah, forget about films like "Rob Roy"- rubbish!!! but he also starred in "K-19" and wow! great! "Nell" was good too, only that I don't like Jodie Foster that much.... :? but never to forget the film "Schindler's List" with Liam Neeson as Oscar Schindler!!! amazing movie, amazing actors.... really great! (although VERY shocking!)
I like Robert Redford too, but only out of a sentimental memory...still, he's okay!
women.... Mishelle Pfeiffer, Sandra Bullock (although I don't like the latest films that much...but I used to like her! hmmm...how romantic in "While you were sleeping".... hmmm... can't think of any other at the moment, although I know there are more....
well, nevermind! I think I've written enough for the moment!!!

Klara
07-06-05, 12:40
Interesting posts...now, for the begginig..."Patch Adams"...this film is about one student of medicine (R. Willimas). Acting is in some points very similar to Mrs.Doubtfire because Adams is a diffrent from the others who are sirious, studying etc...he's very smrt, wants to change everything - hole medical protocol and relationship with a pacients. It is funny but also sad movie in one period. I don't want to write about the whole story so...Generally, I liked it becuase it shows us how thin line between life and death is and what do we have to do to make our life more better...
I also like movies with -the second world war- themes...I know it's a little bit to much about this theme...but I like A.Brody in Pianist for example...
I like De Niro too...actually I like all actors who can play everything (as I said for Depp). DeNiro and movies Analyse this / that...hahaha great! :)

Emi
11-06-05, 22:52
woow, it seems we have the same faves!!! 8)
I don't like watching war movies, the only ones i really enjoyed were SAVINg PRIVATE RYAN and PLATOOn ow yeah and shlinders lists (or how ya write it)...........how can i forget that little girl in red :(

Buffy_The_Slayer

Emi
15-06-05, 19:51
Nooooooo!! Ya hated SM3?!!! Thats the best of this serie! I didn't like 1 & 2 much, coz all of they could think was sex, sex and sex! But 3 was hilarious, that eminem-guy was great!!!

Klara
16-06-05, 12:27
eminem guy? I can't remember... (?!?)..Well, I don't like it, becuase I watched it with my friend in the movies, and kids all around us...they were laughin, and we...haha, we were talking about something... :)

Emi
16-06-05, 21:30
To be honest SM is not a movie ya should watch it in cinema so i didn't go, i rented it  Yea, that eminem-guy, it was hilarious when he fell and stood up instantly!!!  He did a great job....

Klara
17-06-05, 14:30
I still can't remember...but it isn't important

Emi
18-06-05, 10:53

Emi
18-06-05, 13:57
i like to go to the cinema IF there is a good movie and IF im with friends!
Ow, there is such a batman hype here!!!! I've never liked batman, however seeing Christian Bale on screen again would be a nice treat, he has the quality of being one of the greatest actors some day  Probably i will cee this when it comes out on dvd

Klara
18-06-05, 16:51
Wright...did you saw him in Little Women?!? :P I remember him from that movie...

Emi
18-06-05, 17:04
yep! ya saw that too? Hehehe...i remember him from the musical NEWSIES, it was such an adorable movie 8)

Klara
19-06-05, 16:14
I don't know that one...  But Batman...I will see that...with our Katie (possible)Cruise, hehe

Emi
19-06-05, 21:32
yikes, i dont like her, but i heard she has a small role in batman (phhew) hehe.
hmmm let me think; the first time i saw newsies was in 93 or even 94. Yep, its THAT old. If ya like musicals and a great storyline THIS is a must see then  And there was also Patrick dempsey, bill pullman and robert duvall.....as long as i can remember :? i wouldn't mind to watch that musical again.....

Klara
20-06-05, 10:23
I don't like her either...but if I will have the opportunity, I would deffinitely see the musical...

Emi
20-06-05, 10:46
so what kinda movie-genres do ya like actually?! Im really into action movies, i don't mind seeing horror and comedy (if this is a real comedy!), don't like romantics and hate sf!! Yuch!

Klara
20-06-05, 10:54
I don't like romantics too, I mean you see first 10 min of the film and you know what will happend; or teenage movies, they all have the same build...I like horrors very much, but there are not so many good ones..and I have a problem with watching them, I know it isn't wright, but I just have to turn up the lights :P Thrillers too, and comedies. I don't know, but I think I watched Dum and Dumber 50 times! It isn't something and I don't know why I liked it...

Paulinka
20-06-05, 14:10
Katie Cruise (in spe, of course) - but isn't that the little pretty from some kind of american junk teenie series? Can't remember the name...
Hihi, and Dumb and dumber is a weird one, dunno why I like it as well, but not too often... Jim Carrey isn't my favourite, but I like the second one... What's his name, do ya remember?

Klara
21-06-05, 12:29
You mean Dawson's Creek...I think it's the wright term of it!
The second one what pau?

carendon71
21-06-05, 13:13
Yup, Dawsons' Creek was that lame show, & Jeff Daniels is the other bloke that was w/ Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber.
And, so that you can all have a good laugh at my expense, I started off watching Dawson's Creek when it first came out  by the second season however, I could not watch it anymore. Really bad.........

Klara
21-06-05, 14:01
haha...don't wory can...I also watched it...don't know why?! maybe there was nothing on TV at that time, hehe :D
Wright, Jeff Daniels...

carendon71
21-06-05, 14:20
Probably, that was it. Right now I am watching "The O.C." I don't know if you guys have that over there?

Paulinka
21-06-05, 18:02
Gaah, right, Daniels... :D He also played in "102 dalmatians"
"The O.C."? I don't think I've ever watched it, but maybe u can tell us what is it about, coz maybe they've changed the title for Europe  Besides, most US series come here with kinda delay.

carendon71
21-06-05, 18:19
How about this: http://www.fox.com/oc/
That is the website for the show (The O.C.). It is fairly new, so you might not have gotten it yet. Anyways, I'll talk to you all tomorrow.
Bye!

Emi
21-06-05, 20:04
i don't like watching series, but i know the oc and there was 24 or smth....

i like watching horrors in the dark too but when the movie is over i can't even go the kitchen or anywhere else in my house without turning back now and then just to be sure that nathin is behind ya
I don't like jim carrey either or any of his movies

Klara
22-06-05, 12:14
I think I heard about OC, but not so sure...Well, Carrey is a little bit weird, hehe. But I have to admitt he has a talent for faces and grimaces so...hehe, with that he can make me laugh sometimes..
Now I'm watching, well sometimes...Desperate Housewives...:)

carendon71
22-06-05, 12:25
OK, Emi, what is in your opinion the Scariest Movie ever?
For me it was Stephen King's Silver Bullet - I remember not being able to turn off the light because of that. Recently, Jeepers Creepers was a pretty good one.
There have not been that many really scary movies recently.

Emi
23-06-05, 12:44
i haven't seen silver bullet though i luv stephen king  But dunno, there is no actually a really scary movie  I mean, when ya cee a trailer its like WOOOW scary!! And sitting once in the cinema ya think THATS IT?!! I still have to CEE the one that really scares the sh*t outta me
When i was young i saw evil dead 1 and i remember i couldn't sleep for days...hihiihi. Recently i watched it on tv and it was a crap movie
Jeepers creepers was another "entertaining" scary movie, it wasn't scary at all. I liked the 2nd part more than the first.....

carendon71
23-06-05, 13:07
Well, you know the ones that scare me the most are the ones that COULD be real.
As for werewolf movies, I think that werewolves are the scariest because lets say that you are a vampire, for example. You still have control over yourself & could choose to be either good (Like Blade) or evil. But as a werewolf, you have no control.

Emi
23-06-05, 13:29
if i had to chose between a werewolf or a vampire i would go for vampire! why?!! Coz they r able to move faster and stuff.... i don't like watching werewolves movies but yeah Blade was cool....

carendon71
23-06-05, 13:30
Vampires are SO cool. Do you like to read? If so, a great little-known vampire series I fancied is called Necroscope. Pretty cool.
OK, so what is your fav vampire movie?

Emi
23-06-05, 13:46
eeehm im not quite a reader but i would read that its interesting to me
I think so far Blade is one of the best vampire movie. A modern vampire movie.....

carendon71
23-06-05, 13:53
The first one was good, I wasn't too fond of the other ones.

Klara
24-06-05, 00:44
I like the film Interview with a vampire with Pitt and Cruise...but it isn't a horror movie.
Yeah, recently there aren't so many good horror movies. Did I mentioned The Village, I liked it, though it isn't so scary...

carendon71
24-06-05, 12:52
The Village?
Everybody told me not to waste my money on it, that it sucked. You disagree?
Maybe I'll have to check it out.............

Emi
24-06-05, 15:46
yeah, i had seen the interview with the vampire too, though pitt was whiter than normal   But i still like the book of Anne Rice more than the movie itself....
I wanted to watch the village but not so many pple liked it so i still haven't seen it and probably won't see.....
besides, did anyone cee The Amitville Horror?! I wonder how that movie is, though it has received mixed reactions too

carendon71
24-06-05, 15:54
Oh, I have TRULY seen it. I used to live not 20 minutes away from the Amityville House.
That is here on Long Island where I live. It REALLY does look scary.

Emi
24-06-05, 15:58
oooooooo, so it really excists!!! Hehehe....if its scary ( i mean that real place) i wanna cee it 8)

carendon71
24-06-05, 16:02
Oh yes, it exists, though it is not the same as in the movie. But, still, interesting to see ;)

Klara
24-06-05, 19:54
Really, I didn't know that...
Well, The Village, it isn't something. I mean, the ending is a little bit stupid, but I like the actors there so...
You know, I'm ashamed of that, but when I saw The Blair Witch Project #1, I was pretty scared after that. I know, it's funny, but maybe 'cos I was still to young, hehe :D :D :D

carendon71
24-06-05, 20:13
Never saw that one either..................
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is the last movie I have seen....................twice thus far

Klara
24-06-05, 20:15
So, is it good?? I saw this new Batman..well, I think it's good in some way...

It is really good. But, then again I'm a big Star Wars fan, so I'm biased. ;)
I heard that Batman was good, but have not yet been to see it.

Klara
24-06-05, 20:18

There is a new movie coming out soon called Dark Water with Jennifer Connelly that looks good.
Truthfully, I would go see it just for the fact that Jen. C. is in it :P, but it does look cool.

Buffy_The_Slayer
28-06-05, 20:03
well, before you were talking ybout scary movies... and amityville.. well, I haven't seen it but I heard that it is rather creepy... well, scary for me were: Blairwitch and The Ring.... don't know why, but I am easily scared...

carendon71
29-06-05, 12:39
Hey, The Ring was a pretty good movie. That was one I actually enjoyed!

Emi
29-06-05, 13:58
yep, the ring was good, especially when the girl came out the tv!  i haven't seen the second part....

I don't know who JC is! :? :?

Klara
29-06-05, 17:30
Yeah, the ring is good...I also wanna see the second part coz second parts can rearely be good...if you understand me

Emi
29-06-05, 17:36

carendon71
29-06-05, 17:43

Those should NEVER have been made.

Emi

You know who I think rocks as an actor & I love his roles:
Tommy Lee Jones

Klara
29-06-05, 18:18
hehe..I don0t know him so, but I guess he's good. So which movies do you like with him, of course..

carendon71
29-06-05, 18:21
Actually, speaking of Batman :P Tommy Lee Jones played Two-Face in one of those miserable sequels.
But, he really IS a good actor.

Emi
29-06-05, 18:37
yep, he is! i also like the acting of Morgan Freeman & Gene Hackmann.....

carendon71
29-06-05, 18:42

Nope, you don't sound arrogant ;)
Speaking of Clooney, what did you think about "From Dusk til Dawn"
Vampire movie w/Clooney - did you fancy it?

Emi
29-06-05, 19:24
Hehe with a little imagination ya can use every image. This used to be Pau's fave but where is she btw?! I noticed she hasn't been here for a few days  Wherever ya r Pau, luv ya!! *

oow yeah, i like Quentin Tarantino movies! They r a little beyond imagination and mostly bloody but who cares!! This is an example of movies that shouldn't have more than 1 part! I luved the first one, the second i hated it and the third i didn't even watch.... at least i thought there were 3 parts

carendon71

I loved Finding Neverland! I cried when I saw it. I agree with Emi- the cinematography was beautifully done. Jhonny Depp is my fave actor and I must say he is very good in this film. Personally- I think Depp never made a bad movie because if you look at the roles he chooses to play- they all have a common theme- hidden innocense or about the inner child. In Finding Neverland, this is clearly seen when Barrie creates the character of Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up. The element of innocense can also be seen in Depp's upcoming film- Charlie and the Chocolate factory- because Willy Wonka (Depp) has been secluded from the outside world for 15 years, and lives in his fantasy land of candy---- a child's dream surely.

The movie Finding Neverland was about how Barrie was inspired by the four boys to write Peter Pan- Barrie's masterpiece. Sorry abt the over-analyzation. I take a film class. Hahahahaha. Ciao!

Nicky- much love! ;)

tznynekfan
02-07-05, 05:31
Has ne1 seen Hotel Rwanda? That movie was amazing- it shook me to the core.

Emi
02-07-05, 13:06
No nicky, it was a great analyse! Thats why i like watching Depps movies, it seems there is always a challenge in himself, which ya can cee in his characters; it gets more realistic. I luv edward scissorhands-------> what a vulnerable & innocent character it was!!!!

Hotel Rwanda sounds familiar to me but i can tell i've never watched any movie like that....

Klara
02-07-05, 17:59
The circle of Depp fans expands...hehe emi :) :)

Emi
02-07-05, 17:59
but still its not enough!

Paulinka

tznynekfan
03-07-05, 04:40
I am a huge Jhonny Depp fan. Ure right Emi- Edward Scissorhands was an innocent character. I think that movie showed the film industry that Depp was ready for serious roles, and not just teen movies. That role opened up the window for him to play the many great roles he has played. And I can't wait to see Charlie and the chocolate factory!!

Emi
03-07-05, 11:46
The moment he dissapeared from the scenes in POTC everyone started talkin' with eachother in the cinema, coz it became a little boring!  Well, Jack sparrow was the life of that movie can't blame them.....hihihi

Paulinka
03-07-05, 12:23
Ouch, I'm also so eager to see the sequel of POTC!
Is it true that they've made in fact 2 sequels and one of them will be showed in cinemas later?

Emi
03-07-05, 12:36
Yep, i heard that as well! So that means double excitement ha?!

Paulinka
03-07-05, 15:30
Yeah, but the third part will be in cinemas much later...
Similar to the Lord of The Rings scheme: they make more movies at the same time and them show them not simultanously, so that can earn more from the ticket selling, gadgets, promotions and so on

Emi
03-07-05, 21:08
mmmmm ya r right! But man!!! the pple from LOTR have earned sooooo much!!!

Klara
03-07-05, 21:12

I enjoyed it to a point. I thought their take on angels/demons, the hierarchy of both sides, crossing over...all of that was interesting. I wasn't that impressed with the chemistry between the leading pair.

I would have liked to see them spend a bit more time on each 'take' they had on angel/demons. I think it could have made a bigger impact and helped it greatly. But, like I said, I enjoyed it to a point. :D

Can't say anything yet, I decided to go to the beach instead. :?
This weekend we are supposed to have perfect weather, so I'll have to wait for a rainy day.
