The most important I reason was, I guess, the fact that she doesn't want to live in fear all the time... She feels much more safe at home than in a big city which has already suffered from terrorists' attacks.

I should go today in London, but I decided to not go there for some reasons! After bombs attacking in UK the situation is not clear, the English who don't live in London say it's better not go there or in the big city; instead who lives in London says is safe :roll: I perfectly now that Italy would be the next, but u know I'm not living in a big city! After Sharm-el-Sheik I think the whole world isn't safe, but we should continue our lives! Amyway I talked a lot with my parents about it and they are terrible worried about my staying in London and I couldn't let my parents live in panic all the days!! Live far from home isn't easy, I've already tried it and know how is, so I don't wanna add others fears! Being an au pair isn't easy! U r responsable of children and their safety! I'm not so strong and I don't know how I could react if I'm in case of emergency alone or with the children! I'm not afraid of died, I'm afraid to be there when there is an emergency or an alarm!!
For all these reasons I dediced to not go in London, but look for a family who lives in a quiet area in the UK! I found a family who lives not far from Bristol in a small town and I'll be their au pair! I'll depart on the 11th of August and hopefully I'll spend with them one year!!
My dream was London, but first there are my parents and people I love and who loves me! :wink:

This is my decision! It's my life and well, that's ok abt safety but every time I've been in London sometimes I found a tube station closed, well living in central London I hadn't problems but I should live in the outskirt...and then small town are enough safe to let me and my parents live without panic! I'm not talking about fear, but panic it's different....
Then I think that family is better, less working hours and less responsability :roll: it ain't easy live far from home being an au pair! believe me :wink:

Thx Jud! I read ur post abt London! The problem was I needed to decide only in 2 days when the situation was completly strange and I couldn't ask anyone how was the situation in London :roll: Anyway it would be ok live in the countryside too!! :) I can always go to London on trip if things are better and I've already found a family who lives in central London who is very interested in me as their au pair and we decided I'll be their au pair next year!!
Well, that's abt me and my job:
on the 11th of August in the morning I'm going to Pisa airport to catch the plane for Bristol flying with easyjet, my host mother come to collect me and she drives me at her home in Calne, Wiltshire, south-west of England. My host mother is a single mum with 3 children: Ryan 9, Lauren 5,5 and Corey 2,5. I'll have my own room and free access to broadband internet connection. Next day of my arrival we'll departure for a week of holidays in an English seaside resort with my host mom, her sister (who is 17) and the children. My host mom is only 28, so I think we could spend great & fun time together!!! I work on Tue&Thu from 6pm to 12am and Fri&Sat from 7.30pm to 2am. Others days are free!! Only if one of the kids is ill I'll work on Wedsnday morning!! :)
I'll have a lot of time to attend English classes in a town nearby where are a lot of au pairs!! I know there is a college which offers free English classes for EU citizens who are working in the UK and I think I'll join them!!
I hope to spend with them one year and they are as they seems by emails! And of course I hope to speak English fluent as a bilingual after my au pair staying!! Keep my fingers crossed!!
