i have had a big week end ... there was a big party here in my town with two concert the saturday enad the sunday and some activity like : horse an antiques paly for child... then i 'm not come here !
i go on holidays the 9 july for one week and after one other week on august then i will not be here then don't write a lot please!!! ;)

pau did you know that all the thing in the germinal is next to my town ?
i come from a pit face family
my grand father to my mother was one and my grand father to my father was an italian like my grand mother who have listenned to the radio that france search miner to work here in the north and there will be payed and have a free house, free doctor and medicine ect... then they were come here in france and my grand father have worked all this life in the mine and he is dead with the silicosis very young!

today we have again a lot place of this work here and i live in one of this house who were reserved to the miner and now like it's a work finished it's open to everybody !!

this is my story lessons hi hi ;) i hope i have too bored you in this latest hour! kiss!!

If I had known it before I read Germinal, the reading would have been much nicer! :D
Coz you know, in fact I don't like Zola very much... The detailed descriptions sometimes made me sick :( Seems I'm not a great fan of naturalism in prose :wink:

Oh do you like books about 17th century of France :-) - about Kings and Queens , about knights about ROMANCE???? :-) So it's Alexander DUMA... He is very popular here (he is FRENCH!). I think I knew him by heart in childhood!!!! :-)

Yeah, sevi, I'm a great reader - in a sense that if I could I would read all the time :mrgreen: Thanx to my studies I could get to know what good literature is and I really appreciate it.
As venus said, Dumas is quite good in writing adventure novels. Not a special high literature, but a good reading indeed :wink:

high literature is boring smtimes :-( :-(

Boring books can be found in popular literature as well.
And it's you who decide what to read (from high literature as well), so just don't choose the boring ones :wink:

hmmmm im not such a great reader but when i read i prefer Anne Rice & jack Kerouc/Kerouac. Anne Rice writes amazing supernaturel novels, maybe ya know the movies interview with the vampire & qeeun of the damned, and Kerouc is a very deep & intense author. Im not so into romance-novels....

oh! Emi!! yes i know this it's relly my favourite kind of novel i have make the entire collection of stefen king but its a little bit difficult to read the traduction is very hot ;)

For alexandre dumas that was what i thinking that it will be with an "s" but like i have never read this novel i has thought that maybe i was wrong but no Pau give me the respons!!!

i will not have a lot time before to go in holidays because i must prepare all the clothes end all the play and all the becessary to go and wash the house ect... then i hope to see you again before and if i don't ave the time i kiss you now!
and i say see you in one week!!!!
